First Aid Training
Equipping your staff with first aid skills is one of the most effective ways to improve workplace safety and confidence. Tide Medical delivers accredited NUCO Training courses covering emergency first aid, workplace requirements, CPR and AED use, and paediatric care. All courses are led by experienced trainers and meet national regulatory standards (RQF), ensuring learners gain practical skills, recognised qualifications, and confidence to act in an emergency.
FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
A 1-day (6–7 hours) course covering CPR, recovery position, choking, bleeding, and common workplace emergencies. Valid 3 years.
FAA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support (BLS)
A short 2–3 hour course on CPR, AED use, recovery position, and choking. Ideal for healthcare, care staff, or annual updates. Valid 1 year.
FAA Level 3 Award in Oxygen Therapy Administration
A 1-day (7 hours) course covering guidelines for the use of oxygen therapy and administering oxygen. Valid 3 years.
FAA Level 2 Award in Student First Aid
A short (3-hour) course introducing essential first aid skills for students, including CPR, recovery position, and managing minor injuries. Minimum age is 11 years old. Valid 3 years.
FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (FAW)
A 3-day (18 hours) comprehensive programme for designated first aiders, covering a wide range of medical emergencies and injuries. Valid 3 years.
FAA Level 2 Award in CPR & AED
A 1-day (6 hours) course focused on adult CPR and AED use, with additional choking and unconscious casualty management. Valid 1 year.
FAA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid
A 2-day (12 hours) in-depth course for those responsible for childcare. Includes full coverage of infant/child CPR, choking, injuries, illnesses, and emergencies. Meets Ofsted/EYFS requirements. Valid 3 years.
FAA First Aid Refresher
A 3-hour annual update for qualified first aiders to refresh key life-saving skills and stay current with best practice.
FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work – Re-qualification
A 2-day refresher for those renewing their 3-year FAW certificate. Covers the full FAW syllabus with updated practice and reassessment.
FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
A 1-day (6 hours) course covering essential life-saving skills for children and infants. Meets Ofsted, EYFS, and Childcare Register standards. Valid 3 years.
FAA Level 3 Award in Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis
A 1-day (7 hours) course providing the knowledge and practical competence required to promptly recognise and manage a casualty with anaphylaxis until emergency medical assistance arrives. Valid 3 years.
